Directors have responsibilities behind the scenes and serve for a minimum of a year long term.

Each director is responsible for their position, with varying scope of responsibilities. 

On field directors, such as U-04, U-15, etc, are generally responsible for:

• Setup and teardown on the day of division
• Equipment lockup and inventory
• Setup of teams
• Ideas to provide additional training and growth to their age range

In addition, each director is expected to serve on 2 sub-committees, such as Publicity, Equipment, etc.  These are the day to day operations that makes NYSL operate.

There is 1 director's meeting every month, although some sub-committees may have an additional meeting.

In general, directors can expect to serve for several hours every month.

• Respond to one of our many requests for volunteers throughout the season.

Parents are needed volunteers for many reasons:

• Equipment setup and inventory
• Field setup
• Jamboree help
• Publicity
• The list goes on

Even 2 or 3 parents can make a big difference in how things are run and how long they take.  It's a great opportunity to teach your kids about giving back to the community, civic responsibility, and mentoring as well.

Teenagers 13 and up can become Referees - a great way to get paid for being involved with soccer while having fun!

Experienced, knowledgeable teenagers are welcome to coach in some divisions - this is a great look for resumes and other scholastic applications!

Kids and Teens of all ages are ALWAYS welcome to come help setup and teardown, and help the league run.
