In addition to the NYSL recreation program, NYSL offers a travel program (NYSL Travel).
NYSL Travel was started with two principles in mind.
1. Opportunity: Give an opportunity to players to play in a higher level of competition then what they've experianced in the rec program. The reasons players may not of committed to a travel program may of been longer commitment requirements, financial, or confidence and perceived skill level.
2. Skills development: Improve the overall skill level of players above that from which they receive through the rec program. This is done by improved training of our parent volunteer coaches, use of certified trainers, and additional training and playing opportunities.
NYSL Travel is designed to give young players an opportunity to play soccer at the next competitive level above recreational soccer.
NYSL Travel will consist of both a Fall and Spring season. Travel teams will compete within the New Hampshire Soccer League (NHSL), under the New Hampshire Soccer Association (NHSA) and will follow the rules of US Youth Soccer, including calendar-year age divisions. Each season will consist of 8 regular season games, play-offs for the competive divisions, and a tournament. (Memorial day Tournament in the Spring and Columbus day tournment in the fall). Half of the regular season games are played in Nashua and half are away. Most of our opponnents are from nearby towns, but there is the potential to play against a team an hour away.
Teams practice twice a week starting in Late August for the Fall Season and late March for Spring season. However additional clinics, trainings, and other team development events may also occur.
In order for our travel teams to compete at the next competive level, the coaches have recieved licenses through U.S Youth Soccer. In addition, we will also supplement training with professional trainers.
Like all programs of NYSL, the travel program is run by volunteers. If you are interested in assisting NYSL in the travel program, please send an email to Pete Frye at
